(SkyNewswire.com)--- No one likes to forget things it makes us feel stupid and careless and can potentially have severe consequences. Happily there are fun and easy ways that have been proven to maintain and improve your memory.
One method is called the Snapshot. Imagine that you are making hamburgers at the company barbeque and four of your coworkers give you their orders. You have nothing to use to write them down so you have no choice but to remember them on your own. Everyone is hungry and you do not want to look foolish in front of them by messing up their orders.
John wants a double patty with onions
Sally wants a single patty with extra cheese
Bob wants a double patty with mozzarella cheese
Sue wants a plain single patty
Visualize john walking around in the shape of two burgers with a pile of onions on his head. Sally is smaller and therefore only wants a single but her hair looks like shredded cheddar. Bob's hands look like two patties and his beard looks a lot like mozzarella cheese. Sue is wearing a necklace that looks just like a single burger.
My examples might not work for you, but they should give you the general idea. You need to associate the people with their food. The more detail you can generate and the crazier your images are the better you will be able to remember them.
The more you practice visualizations such as this one the easier and more effective they will become.
